1. (From bottom up, in the order that I am uploading these pictures) Kawata = underground lake; lots of sulfur, and it's me taking the picture at the bottom of a long set of steps, looking up. Good exercise there, and it took me forever to get rid of the sulfurous smell. And we were only supposed to stay down there for 30 minutes, but I definitely swam around for 2 hours. Whoops.
2. Joel (my training group volunteer) and a local Turkmen playing and learning dutar together. Can't you feel the cultural integration spirit in the air?
